HappShop
Embedded Devices
Any type of embedded processing unit that can connect wirelessly with a smart phone or tablet could work in our system.
We are looking into creating a close integration with a packaged controller and bluetooth unit (with or without a small battery) that can provide digital and analog inputs/outputs.
Mobile App

Smart phones or tablets provide the communication interface. More specifically, HappShop mobile app let the end-user read data from or help control embedded device. Also it can act as a router to/from the cloud.
To make the integration as easy as possible the mobile app let the end-user customize the interface directly on the phone or tablet.
The specific user interface for an embedded device is called a happ (short for hardware app). This is composed of buttons that send commands and/or placeholder for data values and are modeled the same way as a web page. Happs are downloaded from the cloud only when the specific devices are connected.
Cloud
All happs, user profiles, icons, and other assets are stored in the cloud. Input data from the embedded devices can be uploaded on demand or automatic to the cloud storage and will be accessed through a web browser and/or exposed through APIs to other applications.
Access to data and remote features will also be accessible through the web. Individual projects can be co-hosted on the site and individual users can interact with their connected devices.

Web
Peer to Peer Network

The mobile app also can route the data coming to/from the embedded devices to other smart devices or computers anywhere on the internet. The access to the embedded device is granted via set permissions to authorized users.
